ZULU WAR British Army Martini Henry 450-577 Cartridge Display Blocks

Description

These are replica paper wrappers ink stamped with a period British MH 450-577 ammunition ID and all are dated 1877. They are wrapped around a wooden block. The paper used is a thick brown paper which is close to what the originals used as 10 of the large caliber MH rounds would require something durable to hold them in during transport in their overly constructed wooden ammo crates that cost the British dearly at Isandlwhana in 1879. The size is roughly 3 1/2 inches long, by 3 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches thick, correct dimensions for a packet of 10 450-577 rounds. The tie string used is also close to what was used on originals.  These make excellent display pieces and look great filling out the British P-1871 valise ammo pouches worn on the front of British troops. Shipping will be 4.85 for 1st class mail for US buyers. I do combine on shipping if more than one item is purchased.
Other items shown are for display only, just to show how these highlight Zulu War, and Sudanese/Boer war items.
