Description
These stamps were sold in 1923 at the original values but had postal franking values only to the amounts surcharged on them. The difference was intended to be used for the benefit of wounded soldiers. This issue was entirely speculative. Before the announced date of sale most of the stamps were taken by postal employees and practically none of them were offered to the public. Satisfaction guaranteed. Will combine with other lots to save on shipping when possible. Stamps are mint no gum. Satisfaction guaranteed. Will combine with other lots to save on shipping when possible.
