Africian American Artist Higgins Bond Pomeranian Still Life Art Lead Glass Lamp Shade and Finial. Extremely Rare. Each shade panel is signed Higgins Bond (see photos). Shade's design is a cut corner square bell shape. Each Pomeranian art pane represents Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn Seasons. Shade measures approximately 10" tall/high measured from top inside shade to bottom and 14" wide across bottom from side to side. In beautiful condition with no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. Unsure of exact age, but, told was made sometime in the 80's. A little history of artist from Google states; Higgins Bond received a BFA from the Memphis College of Art. Her work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Childrens Museum of Indianapolis, and many other venues. She has produced illustrations for NBC television, The Nature Conservancy, and the Smithsonian Institution, as well as for many advertising firms. Included in this offering is a metal bronze tone finial that was found with shade. Finial measures 3 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" wide at widest point.
