BLACK (or chocolate) LABRADOR DOG Oval Primitive Rug Hooking Kit

This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit based upon an original design by Sharon Perry. This kit which is suitable for the beginner or experienced rug hooker comes with the following:
wool fabric strips cut in #8 (1/4")
a color photo of the finished piece
pattern drawn on a lovely cotton monks cloth sealed at the edges to prevent fraying
easy to follow rug hooking instructions
binding to finish it off once you have it hooked
The only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before spending a ton of money on it.
As for the hook I have solid hardwood and steel hooks listed for .00 but you can choose the option to add one to your kit for just .50 when you make your purchase.
This kit when completed measures 8 x 16 inches and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, chair pad, or primitive pillow top. The lab is hooked with antique black and charcoal and the background is done with oatmeal heather. If you decide on the chocolate lab you will received two shades of brown instead of the black and charcoal. The arcs in the border are done with a mix of great colors.  For a finishing touch I added a row of deep eggplant around the edge of the finished piece.
When completing your check out you will be given the option for either a black or chocolate lab with or without a hook.
