Description

Replica of the 1878 canteen cover with thick block serif ink marking used beginning in 1878 by the Rock Island Arsenal. This cover is appropriate for the canteens issued late in the Indian Wars and into the Spanish American War.
Cover set comes with one complete 100% 8 oz. khaki cotton duck cover with indelible ink marking and one complete lining of gray twilled wool.
