    Description

    1099. 1945-1949 USAAC 353rd Bomb Squadron patch-on twill, COPY. 4in diameter. This patch in design is precise to the WWII version which was most often found painted upon leather but had a royal blue background; however, in 1945 and up until 1949 the background was changed to the sky blue seen on this patch.  Then in 1949 the entire design was changed and depicted a very modernized wedge shaped plane in flight on a diagonal within a green background when they became part of the Strategic Air Command.
